Baby Sprinkle

 Today we gathered to celebrate the soon arrival of Baby Amelia.  So fun to be together!

Financial aid

Sierra has officially finished her last day of working for the financial aid office.  What a blessing this job has been the past two year. So grateful for the love they have showed her.  It's been a huge blessing! It has been the steady thing that has helped keep her life in balance.  It was often a place of calm during the storms that come. She has worked with incredible people who have taken care of her during the joyful and the difficult times she faced while she's been here.

Spirit Day

 When ASB came to us a few months ago and asked if they could host an Adam Sandler dress up day, we weren't sure what the reaction would be.  When I added it to our school calendar, the district office responded with an LOL.  Today was the day.  It was a success!  A lot more staff dressed up, this was just those that could gather for a quick picture after school.

Visitors

 This week we enjoyed a few days with Jen and Garrett.  It was fun to catch up with them again even if it meant less sleep for all of us.

Dinner

 Tonight Maka joined us for dinner.  It was great to catch up!

Sunday Adventures

Another GREAT day at Stake Conference.  Sierra drove back home Sunday evening.  Her new license plates came over the weekend.

Saturday Adventures

 Jason had his first soccer game today.  It was a family adventure.

Lauren and Sierra did a little shopping before Sierra went down to SLC to take Courtney and Grace's graduation pictures.  They had fun seeing each other.

Syd and Evan went on a date with friends to a Ninja Warrior facility.  

Then they met up with Sierra for dinner.

Sierra got back to Brigham just after JR got home from work. They all enjoyed just hanging out and chatting.

Spring Break - Day 15

Since we already backpacked this week, we decided to just do a beach stroll this morning. It's beautiful weather right now!

It was the perfect start to our Stake Conference weekend.  Stake Conference was fantastic!!

Friday Adventures

Syd went on a hike to Stewart Falls today.  Last time she was here, it was frozen.  JR and Lauren went hiking today after Lauren got off work.  Sierra drove down to Utah after work.  Syd and Evan went to do baptisms at the Orem Temple tonight.

 

Spring Break - Day 14

 We slept great (and probably more than if we were at home).  We woke up to a dog on a hike with it's owners barking at our tent.  After we made breakfast and packed up, we headed to the waterfall area.

We were a bit shocked to see the puddle that was there.  Normally water is overflowing in the area we are standing for the picture creating falls all around the area.

The trail was very overgrown in parts of it.

Somewhere along the trail, we got off trail.  We were trying to figure out the best way to get to the trail again and took a couple of ways we thought we could get there until we ran into a SNAKE!  That snake was not letting us pass.  Because the brush was so thick, we didn't really know where the snake was so we froze.  When the snake was still rattling, we figured it was ahead of us so we slowly backed up to an open space.  Then we figured out how to go back and try and get on our trail. We did some steep up and downs but got back on trail and had a great rest of our hike.

It was only 3 miles today but definitely took time.  We ate lunch at Cane's and saw Maka.

Great adventure to start our weekend!

Spring Break - Day 13

 After Seminary today, I actually felt like I could go about my day without a nap so I cleaned the house and then headed out on errands.  When Dave got home, we packed up our backpacks and headed out on an overnight adventure.  We drove to the trailhead and then started our adventure.  Not too bad of a hike in at all.  We are feeling good with our packs!

Adventures

Today was an adventure day for everyone.  While Lauren was working, JR went on a hike.  He is loving his binoculars.  Syd went to the gym (as usual).  After Lauren got off work, they went hammocking just to enjoy the beautiful weather.  Sierra is down to her last few days working at the Financial Aid Office. After Evan got off work, he and Syd had date night at a Korean BBQ.
