Visit - Day 2

 The first stop this morning was to the tide pools.  Always fun to see what we can see.

Our next stop was to K1 Speed.  All 5 of us raced the first game.

Sierra and I sat out the next race.

Our next stop was bowling.

Lunch at Miguel's was DELICIOUS as always!

We took in some views at Ft. Rosecrans

and along the shoreline.

We all needed some rest after the morning.

After dinner, we had to introduce Evan to Marbles.  

We ended the night with hot tubing.

Full day, but very fun!

Spring Break - Day 14

 We slept great (and probably more than if we were at home).  We woke up to a dog on a hike with it's owners barking at our tent.  After we made breakfast and packed up, we headed to the waterfall area.

We were a bit shocked to see the puddle that was there.  Normally water is overflowing in the area we are standing for the picture creating falls all around the area.

The trail was very overgrown in parts of it.

Somewhere along the trail, we got off trail.  We were trying to figure out the best way to get to the trail again and took a couple of ways we thought we could get there until we ran into a SNAKE!  That snake was not letting us pass.  Because the brush was so thick, we didn't really know where the snake was so we froze.  When the snake was still rattling, we figured it was ahead of us so we slowly backed up to an open space.  Then we figured out how to go back and try and get on our trail. We did some steep up and downs but got back on trail and had a great rest of our hike.

It was only 3 miles today but definitely took time.  We ate lunch at Cane's and saw Maka.

Great adventure to start our weekend!

Spring Break - Day 12

 Today after seminary, I rested even more with my headache cap.  Lots of extra sleep today with a little more reading!

Spring Break Day 11

After teaching Seminary today, I came back home and went to bed.  It felt so good.  Just did things around the house, read a book, and enjoyed the sunshine!

Syd is loving her new gym socks from her birthday!

 

Spring Break - Day 10

Time with my girl was JUST what I needed.  Thankfully, we are both feeling better today.

We had lunch with Ainsley and Shane before heading to the airport.

Spring Break - Day 9

 We enjoyed conference together, had to get more meds (tele-a-health dr gave us a list of more meds to take), and enjoyed time together!

Spring Break - Day 8

Enjoying conference together!  These are the doughnuts that Sierra wanted.  We met up with Ainsley for dinner.  Such a good time together!

 

Spring Break - Day 7

We started the morning with snowy, icy windows!  We went to the DMV first for Sierra to change her name on her license, then to the college where a former professor had invited her to speak about her student teaching experience, and then we headed to Lava to meet Lindsay's family.  It was such a fun afternoon together.  When we got home, we finished our game of Yahtzee.
